REALISATION

REALISATION

Who are we? Where are we going? What will happen after our death? What is success and what is failure? Who really loves us? What is strength/weakness? It is this questioning process, known as realisation that will lead the seeker on the path for searching for the Truth.

In order to embark upon this pursuit one must relieve oneself of all the ideological/social/cultural baggage that he/she carries. Otherwise we would be like an artist who starts his masterpiece without a blank canvas trying to paint over an existing image which will only produce an image contaminated by the pre-existing art. Hence a blank and clear canvas of a mind is required to create this masterpiece.

The key to unlocking our minds from these shackles is simple; we must recognise that we are captives. The prison will then become apparent. One will question why we work day after day only to accumulate funds for a pension plan and retirement fund. Will this life continue forever? What is the purpose of this life? Is it material race or is there a higher aim?

Hijaz Community invites you to a weekend away from the routine of everyday life to embark upon this journey of questioning your purpose in life. In the serene gardens of Hijaz College we welcome you to this years Blessed Summit, an opportunity to meet like minded people and enjoy the freedom to meditate and reflect upon your goals in life. Through a series of seminars and presentations coupled with halal entertainment and refreshments we hope to facilitate the seeker to pursue this journey towards The Ultimate Truth, Haqq.
